Energy Performance Certificates

Domestic Energy Performance Certificates

domestic_epc.jpg OriginalWhen a property is sold or let it requires an Energy Performance Certificate. We visit the property, measure the area, look at the building construction and types of insulation in areas such as walls, floors, roofs, windows and doors. We also look at the heating system, the efficiency of the heating system, the heating control system and hot water control system. This information is then used to calculate the Energy Performance of the property using RDSAP software, including recommendations for improvement. Our surveyor is fully licensed to carry our surveys and issue Energy Performance Certificates with full professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance cover.

Commercial Energy Performance Certificate

commercial_epc.jpg OriginalAnyone selling or letting commercial premises require a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate and Recommendation Report. Owing to the complexity and sizes of commercial buildings information about the building is required before a quotation can be given. On acceptance of the quotation our Surveyor will visit the property and gather all the data that is necessary to enable him to calculate the Energy Performance of the building. This information is modelled in an SBEM computer programme. Our surveyor is fully licensed to carry out this service with full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance cover.

Domestic New Build (Sap Energy Performance Certificate)

When a new property is being considered the Design Energy Performance of the building is taken from plans to calculate the SAP performance of the building. Our surveyor is licensed to carry out SAP Calculations and to issue Energy Performance Certificates when the new building has been completed with full Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance cover. This can also be carried out on extension work to domestic properties and on properties being converted from commercial to domestic use, in order to meet Building Regulation standards.

Code For Sustainable Homes Assessment

Our surveyor is licensed with Stroma to carry out the Code for sustainable Homes Assessment on new domestic properties. By building sustainable homes we can minimise environmental impacts such as carbon dioxide emissions, water use, waste generated, materials for building and surface water run-off volumes. Our surveyor carries full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance cover to advise and to assess.
